Her Early Beginnings
At the age of two, Arielle's family suspected that she was gifted in performing arts. They will never forget the night she surprised them with her first monologue of Sally in "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown." Her older brother said inquisitively, "Are we sure she belongs to us?" It was then that they discovered that she could memorize anything, including expressions of a character. One year later, she sang her first solo in Church and started taking dance and piano lessons.
In October of 2012, she watched The Phantom of the Opera for the first time. Little did she know that weekend would change her life! Her parents noticed her singing the challenging Andrew Lloyd Webber songs throughout the house. So they purchased the accompaniment cd and said, "Sing for me!" Not only had she memorized the entire opera, but she was able to hit the highest note from the theme song of The Phantom of the Opera. (at the age of 8!) Within a few short months, her family also discovered she has perfect pitch and can tell you what key any music is in after listening for a few notes, without any training to be able to do so.
She began her vocal training singing with The St. Louis Children's Choir in 2013-2015, and private voice with St. James Voice Studio from 2014-2016. The legendary Nance St. James was and will always be a special teacher as she continued to drill Arielle each week on scales, sight reading and arpeggios well into her 90's, until a few days before she passed away. She also made multiple trips to NYC to receive private acting lessons from Mimi Stuart at the Children's Acting Academy.
From 2016-2020, Arielle trained with Heather McKenzie Patterson through Patterson Performing Arts who took her voice to a new level. In 2020, after working in a show with Debby Lennon, Arielle shifted her training. As a professor of vocal performance at Webster University and a professional vocalist and performer in the St. Louis region, Arielle was able to strengthen her vocal skills and resume' under Debby's mentorship. In her youth, she also continued to take dance and study acting with Michael James Reed in her home town.
